Most techniques on the guitar require a lot of practice and when you practice guitar techniques, it is mandatory to use a metronome! Playing with a metronome of some sort is vital to your progress as a guitarist, but we all know that can get very boring after a while. | instant tax solutions scams

This is a great post but I don't entirely agree with the level of importance placed on using a metronome. I am a self-taught guitarist and, while I have used a metronome a few times, I found my rhythm by playing along to CD's and in bands. I know this isn't a choice for a lot of students but in my experience, the players who have raised their skills on a metronome find it more difficult to adapt to changes in tempo (in live playing senarios) than those who gradually gain an instinct towards rhythm and feel. Of course, it is not something that can be easily explained and metronomes do help but they are no substitute for learning the feel of a rhythm. This can only really come when playing with others which should have a very high importance placed on it in my opinion.
