It Might Get Loud
Sep 20th, 2008
Picture this - The Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White together banging out music on the guitar and divulging their lives in respect to music. At least that's what directory Davis Guggenheim envisioned when he brought the trio together for a new movie called It Might Get Loud. Hell yea it will!
Taken from a Rolling Stone article: In the middle of the rock documentary It Might Get Loud, Jimmy Page picks up a Les Paul and tears into "Whole Lotta Love" while the Edge and Jack White watch, slack-jawed. "They look just like 13-year-old boys," says director Davis Guggenheim. "They were both like, 'Oh, my God, that's how he did it!'
If you're a guitar fan, rock fan or even just a music fan in general, I don't think you'd want to miss this one. Getting three rock icons of this caliber together, watching them rock out strings and lyrics together is something to look foward to... the film might not affect how you play - though it might affect how you listen.
What’s up with Jack White? He shows up in that new Stones movie too. This guy is connected.
Awesome! can’t wait to see the movie
Looks awesome, I’m definitely going to watch it 🙂
I realy intersted learning guitar.Nice article and good work. Thanks for your info
God, this is so cool. Two of my favorite guitarists. And Jack White’s no slouch, either.
I’m like it too.
Jack White now calls Nashville home and the city has accepted him. He is bridging both generations and styles here. Kid Rock is around too, but no one really takes him seriously. He’s more a celebrity where Jack white is a respected musician.
I think the guitar World could use more “mashups” like this!
It’s be so cool to have even more interesting combinations of styles and varying levels of fame come together as they did in this movie.
The movie is great, The intro is great with jack making guitar
Its amazing!!! The best bit is when pagey starts playing and the other 2 look at each other with a look that says “We can’t believe we’re here!”
This move is excellent. I always watched all the time when I was younger.
