Adjust Guitar pedals With Your Feet!
May 31st, 2007
Music Thing has a great post titled "New invention: Tweaking Knobs with Your Feet". It allows you to adjust your guitar effects pedals with out using your hands! It seems like a cool idea, but I can imagine it has a few setbacks:
First, from the image of the effect pedal it seems as if you can only adjust one knob on your effect pedal at a time. This may have some limitations for some people. Also, it seems as this can only work with one pedal. In most cases it may be worth it just to buy a second effect pedal and have alternate settings. I see a much greater value in that.
The other setback would be that you might have a hard time seeing your settings while standing up in a dimly lit, live performance situation. Although it may be better this way b/c then you are adjusting your settings based on your ears (as you should be), not your eyes.
It may not be something that I would buy (al least in its current state), but it is a conceptually cool invention for your guitar pedals
